Engages students in the study of history, culture, text, performance, and

market, and present a theatrical performance, as well as take advantage of the
significant historic and cultural resources of the locations visited. In addition,
participants will have the opportunity to attend a number of performances,
lectures, and workshops as well as multiple professional and avant-garde shows

Justification for
course/change:
This course provides students with the opportunity to study and understand the
history of the locations visited, their cultural significance and the trends of modern
theatre. It will provide opportunities for cultural exploration and educational and
professional networking. When possible, this course will also provide students with an
opportunity to present their work for evaluation by international industry professionals
and auditors. See attached documentation. To be held in August in conjunction with
the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest avant-garde theatre festival in the world.
