Sub Concepts HISTORY GEOGRAPHY Conflict Invasion Migration Region • People avoided contact with others due to fear of getting infected- jobs were neglected & importance of family/community declined. • Some began to question their faith- how could God allow such horrible things to happen. This created a decline in the absolute power religion had in many communities. • Labor force was greatly affected- not enough people left to do the necessary work. • Decrease in trade due to fewer sailors/merchants AND fear of contracting the disease. • Smaller labor force increased the value and power of workers- workers were paid higher wages and living conditions improved. • Decline of feudal system as workers are able to demand better conditions and move to cities for better jobs/quality of life.
