Uranus
One day on Uranus 17 hour 14 minutes
And the distance from the sun is 2,869,000,000
And it orbit around the sun 84 years 6 days
URANUS
Uranus
• Uranus Is a beautiful planet
• As you can see it is circle and it has a ring
around it what you can’t see
Uranus
The giant planets have diameters greater than 48000kg.
The giant planets are sometimes also referred to as gas
giants.
Uranus has been visited by only one spacecraft,
Voyager 2 on Jan 24 1986.
Uranus is a giant gas planet which is made up of mostly
rock and various ices.
Uranus spins differently from most planets. It seems to be
tilted "sideways" instead of right-side up. At the time of
Voyager 2's passage, Uranus' south pole was pointed
almost directly at the Sun.
Uranus
• Uranus has 15 known moons. Voyager 2
discovered 10 small moons in addition to
the 5 large ones already known. It is likely
that there are many more tiny moons
within the rings.

this is the symbol for Uranus
•Uranus in the seventh planet
from the sun and the third
largest of the nine (in size)
•Uranus is larger in size but
smaller in weight that Neptune
Uranus is the ancient Greek
God of the Heavens - the
earliest supreme god. He
was the father of Cronus
also known as Saturn in
Roman mythology and of
the Cyclopes and Titans
predecessors of the
Olympian gods
Uranus
• Like the other gas planets, Uranus
has bands of clouds that blow
around rapidly. Uranus' bands are
very, very faint. They can only be
seen with special treatment of
pictures obtained by the Voyager 2
spacecraft. Here are examples of
what Uranus looks like before and
after image enhancement.
Like the other gas planets,
Uranus has rings. Uranus' rings
are very dark like Jupiter's rings.
The rings are made up of fairly
large particles ranging up to 10
meters across in addition to fine
dust - much like the rings of
Saturn. There are 11 known
rings, all are very faint. Uranus'
brightest ring is known as the
"Epsilon" ring.
Uranus
Uranus is sometimes just barely visible with
the naked eye on a very clear night; it is fairly
easy to spot with binoculars (if you know
exactly where to look). A small astronomical
telescope will show a small disk
Uranus
• The gas planets are mostly made up of gases
(hydrogen and helium). These planets are light for their
sizes (just like a big air balloon) and move quickly. They
have rings and lots of moons.
The rocky planets are mostly made up of rock and
metal. These planets are very heavy and move
slowly. They also do not have rings and very few
moons
Uranus
• The small planets have diameters less
than 13000 km across. Mercury and Pluto
are sometimes referred to as lesser
planets because they are so tiny.
The giant planets have
diameters greater than 48000
km. The giant planets are
sometimes also referred to as
gas giants.
Uranus
• The Planet Uranus is the third largest
planet in the solar system, is a Gas Giant
and is the seventh planet from the sun.
Planet Uranus has rings like Planet
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.
Orbit Takes 84 years to
complete an orbit
Uranus is a 'Gas Giant' with no solid surface. It
may have a small, silicate-rich core, but most of
its gas consists of water, ammonia and methane.
Its surface area is about 8,115,600,000 km2 .
Uranus
• The only spacecraft to visit Planet Uranus
was the Voyager 2 spacecraft in a flyby in
1986. It discovered 10 moons and two
rings in addition to studying moons and
rings previously seen from Earth.
The Planet Uranus has many moons. Five
of largest are Miranda, Titania, Oberon,
Umbrae, Ariel. The largest moon is Titania
with a radius of only 788.9 km (less than
half that of our Moon).
Uranus
• Our planet is a gas planet and it is not a
rocky planet
• Uranus is a large planet it is much bigger
than Pluto
• Uranus
Pluto
now you can see
our planet
