German Music
There are many famous German musicians and composers, and to
understand them is to understand their music. Many influential
composers contributed to the classical music that is so much a
part of our lives today.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart- famous for The

Richard Wagner- famous for Ride of the

German Art
One of the most influential painters of
the northern Renaissance was Albrecht
Dürer, who revolutionized the use of
perspective and was held in high regard
by his peers in Italy. Dürer worked with
various mediums, including wood, paint,
copper and iron.
Hans Holbein, also an artist during the
northern Renaissance, illustrated the
satirical works of well- known humanist
Erasmus, as well as having helped with
Luther’s translation of the Bible. Holbein
was also present at the court of Henry
VIII and painted many portraits there.

number one exporter of machinery and industrial plant
• It is a proven fact that the German engineering in German cars
rival and surpass that of Italian, British, and American Car
Manufacturers.

family-owned enterprises. More than 70% of the VDMA member
companies have fewer than 300 employees.
• German auto company, Mercedes Benz, now
owns most of Daimler Chrysler so as the
commercials say you will be seeing more and
more German engineering in everyday life
• Germany is the economic epicenter of the EU
and a bastion for engineering opportunities.
• Use your foreign language and expand your
career search to the country or countries of the
languages you speak. More opportunities will be
available to you.
