viruses; fever, chest pain, difficulty breathing

• Bronchitis: Swelling of the bronchi due to
infection; cough fever, tightness in chest
• Asthma: Bronchial swelling and blockage;
wheezing, short breath, coughing
• Lung Cancer: Alveoli destroyed; often
caused by smoking
• Emphysema: Alveoli destroyed; extreme
difficulty breathing; often fatal
