BACKGROUND
The Aztec colonization was one of the most important event in the
story of Mexico. From February 1519 to august 1521, Aztecs had
been conquered by the Spanish people lead by Hernan Cortés.
Marked by punishment, he and his people took control of the big
Tenochtitlan and the Aztec people.
EVENT 1
If Aztecs have
killed the Spanish
we would not
speak Spanish.
EVIDENCE
Spanish people brought their language from Spain and they made
them change all of their traditions, even their native language!
EVENT 2
If Aztecs have
killed the Spanish
there would be no
Mexican white
people.
EVIDENCE
Because of the new conquest, Spanish mixed their
genes with the Aztecs making the “new race”
characterized by making children more white than
they actually were, if that would not happened most
of the Mexicans might still as dark as pure Aztec
blood.
EVENT 3
If Aztecs have killed the Spanish
religion would be very different, so
different that maybe we might still
believing in the Aztec gods, like the
god of storm, the god of the sun, even
the god of the god of tequila, just like
Greeks but more Mexican.
EVIDENCE
Europeans brought the Christianity to all America,
the New World was the perfect place for Spain to
recapture the souls it had lost to Protestant "heresy"
in Europe, but also because of the Aztecs own
religion they were obligated to change their religion
other ways they will be killed.
HOW THE WORLD WOULD BE DIFFERENT?
Mexico might be not big potential country is now because thanks to Spanish, Aztecs
found the new technologies and techniques of government, we might still believing in
sacrifices to please the gods and living speaking other language instead of Spanish
and even might have another name instead of Mexico, but that could be only one side
of “a new story”.
