Common Objections & Responses
Objections
Response
Why are the Domae RCD’s both bi-connect and mono-connect
when the Domae MCBs are mono-connect only
One style RCD is made to suit both markets around the world. By far the most
common market worldwide is mono-connect.
Why have orange toggles vs. black which can suit other
Schneider Electric devices if required in the same switchboard
Domae series is pure standard residential series. If you need more than the
Domae offer please use the current Multi 9 range for 100% of the installation.
Would a Domae circuit breaker placed upstream of another
Domae circuit breaker offer discrimination
No. there is no discrimination with the Domae series. Use the commercial and
industrial Multi 9 C60 range with NSX MCCBs upstream to offer discrimination.
Why have a 6kA residential vs. a commercial 6kA MCBs
Residential MCBs are to AS/NZS60898.1 only. Commercial and Industrial
MCBs are to AS/NZS60898.1 and to IEC60947.2 which is where cascading and
discrimination are offered, along with many accessories and auxiliaries
Do all MCBs have fast closing contacts
No. Schneider Electric circuit breakers offer fast closing contacts
Do you have an 80A or 100A single pole main switch, or a 3
phase main switch
Domae series offer the most common 1P and 2P 63A main switches. If you
need more than this please use the Multi 9 C60 range
