Agreement between the Liberec Region and the county of Møre og Romsdal
on regional cooperation and know-how transfer
The Liberec Region (Czech Republic), represented by the President, and the county of Møre
og Romsdal (Norway), represented by the County Mayor, further called “partners”
- realize that regional cooperation is an indispensable factor of cultural, social and economic
enrichment of both the regions,
- are aware of the fact that the goal of regional cooperation and the transfer of know-how is to
deepen relations between the two regions,
- will effort to develop efficient cooperation between offices, economic subjects and social
organizations of the Liberec and Møre og Romsdal,
declare that they make the existing friendly relationships between the Liberec and Møre og
Romsdal regions official.
Article I
Both the partners underscore the commitment to deepen relations between the governments of
the Liberec and Møre og Romsdal regions by acknowledging current bilateral relations at
regional level. The cooperation will supplement the existing Memorandum on Mutual
Understanding and Cooperation.
Article II
The partners will support the existing cooperation in the following areas:

Physical Training

Social matters

Security
-
Ethnic minorities
-
Economy and finances
-
Health services
-
Economic and regional development
-
Traffic and road management
-
Culture
-
Sport
-
Travel
-
Agriculture
-
Environment
-
Foreign relations

Parliamentary services (legislation and protocol)

Information technologies
Article III
Offices of economic subjects and social organizations in direct contact with each other will
cooperate and carry out the transfer of know-how. Both the partners intend to make these
contacts closer and create suitable conditions for them.
Article IV
The partners intend to have regular meetings of delegations from the Liberec and Møre og
Romsdal regions with a view to evaluate the hitherto cooperation and set new political
incentives. Every two years the delegation of the partners will together determine the focus
and priorities of their cooperation and schedule the program of the cooperation accordingly.
Article V
Any unclearness about this Agreement will be clarified by mutual agreement of both the
partners.
