Who should attend?
 Families wanting a “Hand Up” to a home of their own
o Who are living in ‘housing stress’ due to substandard or inadequate
housing
o who do not own a home or qualify for a bank loan
o who can afford 25% of their income to repay the home loan(s)
o are willing to partner with Habitat and help build their own house
 The family and friends of interested applicants
 Everyone interested in learning more about Habitat
 Everyone interested in helping Habitat ‘give a hand up’
This meeting is being held to explain:
 the mission, purpose and history of Habitat for Humanity
 the details of the Habitat Houses to be built in Tamworth and
possibly Quirindi
 the mutual obligations of selected Homeowners and Habitat
 the purchase price of the houses by the Homeowners
 the home loans provided by Habitat for Humanity
 repaying the home loans
 applying for the Habitat for Humanity houses
