After the introduction is finished, click on “Solar System”.

Click “Start”.

Use the “Sun Cam” and the “Planet Cams” to watch the solar system.

Use the Solar System cams to answer the questions below.
1. What happens to the size of objects as you get farther away (zoom out)?
2. Click on the “Sun Cam”. Choose Side view. Zoom in and out. Try the Top view.
Which object in the solar system is the largest?
3. Click on “Top View”. Zoom in and out. How are the orbits of the planets close to
the sun different from the orbits of planets farther from the sun?
4. Click on the Earth cam . Which direction does the Earth spin?
5. What direction is it morning first?
6. Observe the Earth, Moon and Sun. Can you explain why you can sometimes see the
moon during the day?
7. Click on each planet’s cam. Do they all spin the same direction?
If no, which ones are different?
8. How often do you see other solar objects when viewing Pluto compared to viewing
Mercury?
9. Two types of solar objects are Asteroids and Comets. Click the information
button for each one on the left and read about them. There are 3 pages of
information to read about comets and 2 pages to read about asteroids. What did
you learn?
