STO(s) being addressed Introduction Attribute Map “Happy Birthday Hamster” by: Cynthia Lord Adjective cubes. Irregular plurals booklet. Instruction To begin this session, the therapist will read the book called “Happy Birthday Hamster” to Zachary. The therapist will read it through once to him, and then a second time together with Zachary talking about the book as we go. This book focuses on using descriptive words describing different things the characters encounter throughout the day. The therapist will note the first few and then ask Zachary if he can pick them out himself. This will model to Zachary how to use proper descriptors in a sentence. In the next activity, the therapist will present Zachary with an Irregular Plural booklet. Along with the booklet, the therapist will provide Zachary with an adjective cube. To complete the booklet, Zachary will write the plural of the singular version and then he will create a sentence about that plural. He will use the adjective cube to help find a describing word to use in the sentence. After he creates the sentence, he will draw a picture. We will work on this until it is complete. In the final activity, the therapist will provide 4/30/2013 Zachary with another cube. This time it will be blank and Zachary will have to fill in with the adjectives of his choice. We will roll back and forth creating silly sentences using the descriptive words.
