1. A gymnosperm is a plant that has naked seeds.
2. A spore is a single reproductive cell that can grow
into a new plant.
3. Phloem is tissue that carries food from a plant’s

5. Vascular tissue is a material that supports a plant
and conducts nutrients.
6. Photosynthesis is a process by which plants make
food.
7. Xylem is tissue that carries water and nutrients
from the roots to every part of the plant.
8. An angiosperm is a flowering plant which has
seeds protected by a fruit.
9. Nutrients in a nonvascular plant mover from cell to
