Mr. Kendrick 7th Grade Honors Social Studies Class Syllabus. Welcome to Meadowdale Middle’s seventh grade honors social studies class! Social studies are an in-depth look at our world today and the historical forces that continue to shape and influence it. We accomplish this by studying the five themes of Geography: place, location, human/environmental interaction, region, and movement; then integrate these themes throughout our study of Washington State, the ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica, the Arabian Peninsula, Central Africa Kingdoms, Feudal Japan and Europe. We are dedicated to providing your student a rigorous and relevant curriculum. One that will challenge them at the highest levels asking them to analyze, synthesize and apply what they are learning daily. This will be accomplished in a high energy environment, where students will be free to take risks and expand their educational horizons.
