Miss Schweikert’s Shining Stars
September 6-10
Last week, we traveled to the continent of Asia and have begun our
study of Ancient Mesopotamia. Do you know what the word
“Mesopotamia” means? Do you know what 2 rivers surround
Mesopotamia? Your child got to practice writing their name in
Cuneiform Writing. This is the written language that the
Mesopotamians invented.
Please remind your son/daughter to use a CAPITAL LETTER at the beginning of a
sentence, put finger spaces between each word, end the sentence with the correct
punctuation (. or ! or ?) and of course last but not least, the sentence must make SENSE.
Keep Those Sunny D Labels! Does your family drink Sunny
Delight? If so, send in your labels. If we collect 20, we get
free books for our classroom library.
