The Milky Way Galaxy is on a Collision course with Andromeda galaxy what will
happen?
The collision will cause huge tides of stars that toss them thousands of light years in
every direction! Those are called tidal tails. When they are thrown our solar system is
thrown as well! Currently we are on the Sagittarius arm. But we will be thrown
somewhere we don’t know. There is a possibility we will collide into a Second Galaxy. By
this I mean our solar system might be flung into a different galaxy and into their
atmosphere. Then the gravity being rapidly changed will cause the dance of stars. Some
stars are thrown off the galaxy. Some are dropped into the core of the galaxy. This
leaves us with new materials for new stars. And a possibility of even new planets! We
also gain a bigger galaxy. And a new name… But how long is this process? It take 100’s of
years to finish. But first it will take 3 billion years or so for us to actually have the tip of
our galaxy to touch theirs. But since we are on their horizontal axis. And they are on our
vertical axis. Our ring will hit its core. And its ring will touch nothing. There may be a
chance where our galaxy turns into an elliptical galaxy. It looks as if there is a rope
connected between the galaxies and one of the galaxies is pulling in the other.
Side Question: When we are slingshot out will the gravity change and by chance have
Alpha Centauri as our new solar source. Or in other words our sun.
