Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a busy week in Rainbow Fish class. In storytelling we have learnt about the features of non-chronological
reports. Next week we will be writing our own non- chronological report on the Shang Dynasty. In maths, we have learnt
how to draw bar charts and pictograms. We have been answering and asking 2 step problems about both. We have also
begun to learn about measuring capacity accurately using measuring jugs.
In SOLE we continue to look at the Shang Dynasty. We learnt about different important inventions from Ancient China.
This is something you could continue to research at home.
This term the children have been learning Samba with a visiting teacher. It has been brilliant to watch them improve and
come together to create a samba band.
Next week the children will enjoy a French change around morning. So far this year, I have been really impressed with the
children’s enthusiasm for learning French and I am really looking forward to it.
Thank you for your continued support,
Miss Chew
