MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING MANAGER
BUFFALO POUND WATER TREATMENT PLANT
The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant is currently recruiting a full-time Maintenance and
Engineering Manager. This position is based at the Plant located 35 kms North-East of Moose Jaw
near Buffalo Pound Lake.
The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant provides safe, high quality drinking water to the Cities of
Moose Jaw and Regina and surrounding areas.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance and Engineering Manager will be required to
perform a variety of duties pertaining to the engineering, maintenance, planning and management
of the Water Treatment Plant. The Maintenance and Engineering Manager manages a team of twelve
(12) staff, will oversee the delivery of Major Capital Projects and is also responsible for all
maintenance and planning activities of the Plant.
The successful candidate will possess:

A University degree in Engineering, such as Civil, Industrial, Mechanical or Environmental, with 15
years of recent work experience in an engineering environment.

Registration or ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of
Saskatchewan.

Registration or ability to register in the Maintenance Management Professional Program from
the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada or equivalent.

A minimum of ten (10) years recent experience in an Engineering and/or Managerial position
related to municipal water supply and treatment processes.

Effective organizational skills and superior record keeping abilities

Self-motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with both experience and education.
