Genome Evolution and Developmental Constraint in Caenorhabditis
Genome Evolution and Developmental Constraint in Caenorhabditis

... It has been hypothesized that evolutionary changes will be more frequent in later ontogeny than early ontogeny because of developmental constraint. To test this hypothesis, a genomewide examination of molecular evolution through ontogeny was carried out using comparative genomic data in Caenorhabdit ...

Polling in Cattle - South Devon Herd Book Society

... An added complication when breeding for polling is the issue of scurring which can occur. Scurs are small growths of material very similar to horns that can develop in polled cattle. Traditionally it has been believed that scurs are sex-influenced due to the fact that they have been shown to be more ...

Investigation of Four Genes Responsible for Autosomal Recessive

... protein EphA2 is an epithelial cell kinase that interacts with membrane-bound ephrin ligands, which play an important role in morphogenesis and in numerous developmental processes [22]. NEDD9

Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 9 (NEDD-9) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NEDD9 gene. NEDD-9 is also known as enhancer of filamentation 1 (EF1), CRK-associated substrate-related protein (CAS-L), and Cas scaffolding protein family member 2 (CASS2). An important paralog of this gene is BCAR1.
