Study on the Sensing Coating of the Optical Fibre CO2 Sensor
Study on the Sensing Coating of the Optical Fibre CO2 Sensor

... There are various ways of utilizing the optical fibres in various systems for chemical monitoring. They can be used for sample illumination and signal reception or they can be sensors per se by using special active fibre coatings, which are sensitive to the analysed substance. The most straightforwa ...

... Figures 2(a) and 2(b) show a two-dimensional scan of the CL emission over a 400-nm-wide and 2-m-long waveguide. The recorded intensity is plotted for two wavelengths. The scan clearly shows the outline of the waveguide; it is brighter than the surroundings. The CL emission that is excited along the ...

... carbon and nitrogen in a structure is often difficult,50 and there are well-documented cases where mistakes have been made.51 Thus, it seemed especially important to unambiguously determine the first structure of a monomeric transition metal cyanide. Here we report the synthesis of CuCN in the gas p ...

The B-field has to be really strong to affect the quantum processes. There is a natural magnetic field scale given by the so-called critical ...

... We can understand TPA as follows. Imagine that the first photon perturbs the electron cloud of a molecule (or any quantum system) so that the molecule is in a superposition of states |ψ⟩ such that the expectation value of the energy is h̄ω = ⟨ψ| H |ψ⟩. This is called a virtual state, which will be mo ...

Magnetic circular dichroism

Magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) is the differential absorption of left and right circularly polarized (LCP and RCP) light, induced in a sample by a strong magnetic field oriented parallel to the direction of light propagation. MCD measurements can detect transitions which are too weak to be seen in conventional optical absorption spectra; they can also probe paramagnetic properties and the symmetry of the electronic levels of the studied systems, such as metal ion sites.
