... (i.e., v(t) = O V). Put the line at a convenient place by turning the POSITION knob above the CH 1 VOLT/DIV dial. Now, move the switch for CH 1 back from GND to DC. You will see a shift of the line. The amount shifted (approximately 1.4 volts) is the output DC voltage from your RC circuit. Now, disc ...

Magnetism - a magnet has polarity. It has 2 ends. A north seeking

... Most of today’s energy sold is in the form of AC because it can easily be transformed from one voltage to another. Power is transmitted at high voltages and low current without much energy loss (heating of wire) because it can be stepped down from the plant to many cities, to a city, to the househol ...

Metadyne

A metadyne is a direct current electrical machine with two pairs of brushes. It can be used as an amplifier or rotary transformer. It is similar to a third brush dynamo but has additional regulator or ""variator"" windings. It is also similar to an amplidyne except that the latter has a compensating winding which fully counteracts the effect of the flux produced by the load current. The technical description is ""a cross-field direct current machine designed to utilize armature reaction"". A metadyne can convert a constant-voltage input into a constant-current, variable-voltage output.
