Bacterial STI
Most Bacterial sexually transmitted disease can be passed though anyone who is sexually active
though vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Pregnant women (if infected) can pass the infection to their
offspring. Here are the three main Bacterial STI’s
Chlamydia
Most common infection in the USA.
Symptoms include abnormal vaginal discharges or burning while urinating for women. Men have
similar symptoms.
Can be cured with antibiotics
Condoms can prevent Chlamydia
Can be treated with antibiotics.
Syphilis








Three stages of syphilis (primary stage, secondary stage, late and latten signs.
First stage. Sores appear around body.
Lasts 10-90 days
Second stage more sores appear as will as swollen glands, sore throat, hair loss, headaches, weight
loss, as will as muscle aches.
Last Stage can damage the brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, and bones.
Symptoms include having a hard time coordinating muscle actions, paralysis, numbness, gradual
blindness, and dementia.
If not treated can lead to death.
In early stages can be treated easily. Latter continues shots are needed to kill the bacteria
Gonorrhea








Is passed though contact with the penis, vagina, mouth, or anus
Ejaculations are not needed to spread the disease
Sometimes no symptoms are present but you can still be infected with gonorrhea.
A simple kiss can spread this infection.
Symptoms of gonorrhea for men include burning when urinating white, yellow, or green discharge
from the penis or swollen testicles.
In women’s cases for Gonorrhea painful or burning felling while passing urine, increased vaginal
discharge, or vaginal bleeding between periods.
Symptoms for both men and women are discharge, anal itching, soreness, bleeding, or painful
bowel movements.
Antibiotics can kill of the Bactria that leads to gonorrhea.
