On one sheet of paper create a Cell Analogy
You will pick something in the world and compare it to a cell
You must draw the analogous item and label the parts you are comparing to 5 organelles.
You must:
 Title your paper: A ___________ is like a ________Cell. You must decide if
you are comparing it to a plant or animal cell.
 Pick any 5 organelles. Be careful – make sure you pick organelles found in
the type of cell you picked.
 Draw an arrow connecting each part of your picture to the corresponding
organelle.
 Each of your similes must be written in the following format – underline the
name of the organelle in each simile. Example:
1. Mr. Hughes is like a nucleus because Mr. Hughes controls all activities
in the school, just like the nucleus controls all activities in the cell.
 Put your name on the top of the paper and turn in – this will count as a test
grade
