The Simplified Immune Response
1. Pathogens Invade
2. Phagocytes attack pathogen
3. Macrophages engulf dead pathogen
4. Macrophages release antigens from dead pathogen
5. T cells and B cells take antigens and make antibodies to identify
the pathogens currently invading
6. Antibodies lock on to antigens to help the body recognize and
destroy the threat.
