Jones and Bartlett Publishers are pleased to
announce a new series in Biomedical
Informatics. Our belief is that Biomedical
Informatics is an important component of
every clinical and research activity, and that
all translational research projects should be
designed with the help of biomedical
informaticians. We plan to provide books
that will appeal to a wide audience of health
care professionals, not just computer
professionals working in a biomedical
setting.
Topics of interest include (but are not
limited to) the following:
1

3

We are also pleased to announce that Dr.
Jules Berman has signed on as the editor of
this progressive series. For the past 7 years,
Jules Berman served as Program Director
for Pathology Informatics within the Cancer
Diagnosis Program at the National Cancer
Institute. He has first-authored over 100
published articles.

To develop this series, we are looking for
authors with deep knowledge of an area
within biomedical informatics who have
successfully applied their expertise to
clinical service or to translational research.
Books may be single author or multi-author
works. Multi-author works should be
limited to multi-disciplinary subjects in
which every chapter contributes to a focused
book theme. The books in this series should
be accessible to all motivated health care
professionals.
