Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Engineering
One of the top-ranked universities in the country, Northwestern University, combines innovative
technology and pioneering research in a highly collaborative environment that transcends traditional
academic boundaries. The Department of Biomedical Engineering is looking to recruit a highly
motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in for studies on developing drug delivery systems to prevent and treat
HIV infection. Studies will involve device design, prototyping, drug release studies, in vitro antiviral
assays and biocompatibility assays. The work will also include in vivo studies in small animal models
and non-human primates. A fundamental training in biomaterials and/or pharmaceutics is
required. Expertise in one or more of the areas of polymer engineering, pharmacokinetics, and drug
transport is favored.
