DIFINITION
Evaporated Milk
Evaporated Milk is produced by the partial
removal of water from pasteurized milk.
Evaporated milk contains added vitamin D such
that each fluid ounce contains 25 IU thereof within
the limits of good manufacturing practices.
Evaporated milk will conform to the applicable
provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and
Cosmetic Act and amendments thereto, and will
be of good flavor, high quality, free of
contamination, and without added preservative,
agents or chemicals.
