REHEARSAL REPORT
REHEARSAL START TIME: 6:29pm

REHEARSAL SUMMARY: The cast met in Martin 110 and took notes on Greek theatre and parallels to the text. Then, cast
members were divided into three groups: birds, gods/humans, and Euelpides and Pithetaerus. Doc J and the assistant directors,
Marcy Whipkins and James Rose, rotated to different groups throughout the night. Concepts and exercises included hypnotic
stillness, gesturing, articulation and speaking heightened language, making bold, intended choices, characterization, pronunciation,
and movement.
SCENIC/AERIALS: There will be a caravan going to UCM Surplus on Monday, October 18 from 1pm-5pm. If anyone can lend a hand
or a truck, please contact our technical director, Matt Elliott, at [email protected]. Thank you to those in shop who organized
the donation pile! We are in need of two fly crew members—spread the word! A note for the scene shop: please make sure that the
lobby doors are locked, the lights in the booths/conference room/lab are turned off, and all paint is put away before leaving for the
night. Thank you! Also, Tyler and Betsy will be taping the stage out tomorrow during shop hours.
COSTUMES: Costume sketches will be posted to the website under “Rehearsal and Acting Notes”. Thank you for the rehearsal cape
for Neptune. The costume shop is in need of people to prepare the donated materials for construction—plan to come in tomorrow,
Monday, and/or Tuesday. ACTORS: Expect to see a list for costume fittings sometime next week!
HAIR/MAKEUP: The wig closet and the dressing rooms were unlocked. Please make sure that you lock things up after use.
PROPERTIES: Nothing to report at this time.
LIGHTING: We are in need of a light board operator—spread the word!
SOUND: Thank you for dropping off the music cd at rehearsal!
MUSIC/CHOREOGRAPHY: Doc J has the proposed music for the choral odes—please obtain this from her tomorrow.
DRAMATURGY: Nothing to report at this time.
FRONT-OF-HOUSE/PUBLICITY/BOX OFFICE: We are in need of an assistant box office manager—spread the word!
