EDGE DANCE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR
2013 INFORMATION PACKET
Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center is excited to announce our first ever Christmas Spectacular! The Christmas
Spectacular will be a fun upbeat show which will include dancing, acting, and singing from our dance and theatre students
to tell of our favorite Christmas stories. All students who audition will be cast in our show.
Shows will be held at The Courtyard Theater in Downtown Plano on the following dates:
Monday, December 9th Move into Theater/Mandatory Rehearsal from 5pm-10pm
Tuesday, December 10th Mandatory Dress Rehearsal from 5pm-10pm
Wednesday, December 11th Mandatory Dress Rehearsal from 5pm-10pm
Thursday, December 12th Mandatory Dress Rehearsal/Possible Charity Performance
Friday, December 13th at 7:00pm
Saturday, December 14th at 2:00pm & 7:00pm
Sunday, December 15th at 2:00pm/Move Out of Theater
Rehearsals
Friday/Saturday will be the primary rehearsal days. Your rehearsal time is determined by your role in the
production. Rehearsal schedules will be sent out weekly. Every student may not rehearse every week. Students
should not miss more than three rehearsals due to other events or illness. Students may be cut from the
production due to excessive absences.
Fees
Students must be enrolled in the style of dance they wish to perform.
(Students who wish to tap in the show should be enrolled in weekly tap classes. Theatre students should be
enrolled in musical theater class. Etc.)
Tuition for the Christmas Spectacular production will be $40 per month September-December. Any student who
joins the production late will still be required to pay the full production tuition.
Every student is required to sell 10 tickets to the production for the first child and 5 tickets for each additional
child. Parents will purchase the tickets up front (Auto draft on December 1st) and then you can sell them to your
family and friends. Tickets will be $15 each. Tickets will also be sold online & at the door.
Every student will be required to pay a costume rental/cleaning fee. Students will not be allowed to keep
costumes. Costume fees are as follows:
3-4 Years- Creative Movement Ballet/Tap $60
5-6 Years-Pre- Ballet $60
5-6 Years Pre Tap/Jazz $70
7yrs & Up- $60 for First Costume/Style of Dance & $25 for each additional Costume/Style of Dance
*Parents are responsible for purchasing required tights and dance shoes.
