NIAID-Biodefense Proteomics Research Programs Peter McGarvey, Raja Mazumder, Hongzhan Huang, Jian Zhang and Cathy Wu Protein Information Resource, Georgetown University, Washington, DC 20007 Abstract PNNL The National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has created a biodefense Harvard proteomics program with the goal to “identify and validate therapeutic drug targets for the next generation of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics” for agents of concern in bioterrorism. Scripps The program consists of seven Proteomics Research Centers and an Administrative Resource Center. In addition to administrative support, the Admin Center is developing a bioinformatics infrastructure that includes a web portal for public dissemination, a central proteomic database hosting the data and technology protocols generated by each Proteomics Center, and a protein knowledge system for data integration, data mining and data analysis. 1: Project Catalog Summary View. Allows you to browse and search the directory of proteins and reagents identified by the NIAID Biodefense Proteomics Research Centers. The directory integrates information from the UniProt, iProClass and PIRSF databases to link protein sequence and functional annotation to experimental data. 5: Download Data. Experimental Data can be downloaded in community formats (mzData) for further analysis. 4: Protein Bank. Protein Bank contains experimental data and protocols from Proteomics Research Centers Acknowledgements: Supported by National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease/NIH Contract: HHSN266200400061C Social and Scientific Systems Protein Information Resource Virginia Institute of Bioinformatics 3: Master Directory Links to Annotation.
