Job Title
Marketing Generalist – Digital, Social and Brand
Position Purpose and Profile
The Green Building Council SA (GBCSA) is in search of a strong digital and brand individual,
to assist the business with the development and maintenance of brand collateral, updates and
maintenance of all digital and social marketing channels, database maintenance and
campaign activation both internally and externally. The incumbent will be responsible for
actively sourcing new, relevant channels of marketing for the GBCSA. The position will be
suited to an individual that has skills across all marketing disciplines and prior working
knowledge of digital, social and brand disciplines.

Chief Marketing Officer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:















The account management of a business segment
Ensure that the corporate identity is applied correctly to all marketing collateral
Assist with the development of all business presentations
Ensure that the relevant branded collateral is in place and updated on a regular basis,
by working closely with the broader GBCSA team, market segments, graphic
designer and copywriters
Build brand awareness and loyalty amongst key stakeholders
Manage the collateral library and ensure that processes are in place to keep the
library updated and relevant
Develop and drive customer-centric activations
Deliver an end-to-end solution for all GBCSA campaigns
Assist with lead generation for the business
Create customised templates for advertising, events, presentations etc.
Maintain advertising revenue streams for the GBCSA
Work closely with the Education team, Technical and Admin Team to assist with
branded collateral
Responsible for all digital and social marketing channels to ensure content is relevant
and up-to-date
Extract and report on analytics from all marketing channels
Case study development and plaque ordering


Plan, develop, execute and evaluate existing and new digital vehicles for business
segments
Act as association liaison

Minimum Requirements
This position is a mid-level management position based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.




Relevant marketing degree
At least 8 years’ experience in the relevant field
Excellent interpersonal skills
Passion for environmental sustainability
Prior experience in the property industry will be beneficial.
