I am currently working as research scholar at B.I.T, Mesra Ranchi in computer science
Department. I work on health informatics and applying evolutionary computational
Technique for disease prediction. I specially look at machine intelligence Lab and its

“Evolutionary Computational Approaches for Medical Data Mining“

Data mining techniques have been widely used to mine knowledgeable information
from medical data bases. In data mining Classification is a supervised learning that
can be used to design models describing important data classes, where class attribute
is involved in the construction of the classifier. Data Mining Techniques is very simple,
widely used, highly efficient for pattern recognition. Medical data bases are high
volume in nature. If the data set contains redundant and irrelevant attributes,
classification may produce less accurate result. Heart disease is the leading cause of
death in India as well as different parts of world. Hence there is a need to define a
decision support system that helps clinicians to take precautionary measures. In this
thesis work we are working on new algorithm which combines data mining techniques
with genetic algorithm for effective classification. Initial experimental results shows
that our algorithm enhance the accuracy in diagnosis of heart disease.
“Improving VOIP QOS using Packet loss recovery Technique” July 2006 – June 2007
Voice over Internet Protocol is an upcoming technology that enables voice
communication through the Internet. The transmission of audio data over packet
switched networks faces lot of difficulties by a variety of network impairments such as
packet loss, delay, echo, network security and throughput. This research focuses on
packet loss which is a crucial problem to be addressed. This research also proposes an
evaluation of speech quality by applying improved Packet Loss Recovery (PLR)
algorithms with an end-to-end bidirectional transmission control scheme. It performs
better quality monitoring of VoIP service both at the sender and the receiver side. This
work is implemented in real time transmission control scheme. The obtained results
suggest that the overall quality of voice can be quite beneficial for real time
applications.
