Form: be + past participle
If there is -ing form in the active
sentence, the word ‘being’ must be
added, for example: Alex is preparing
that report (active) -> That report is
being prepared by Alex (passive)
No object in the active sentence = no
passive sentence

The ‘by phrase’ is not always used in
the passive sentence.
The ‘by phrase’ is included only if it is
important to know who performs an
action, e.g.: Romeo and Juliet was
written by Shakespeare.
