Record:
• Each group should have the following
information on a sheet of paper that
can be handed in:
– The mRNA sequence from the DNA
(NOT the DNA sequence)
– The codons from the mRNA
– The correct sequence of words to
make a sentence
In groups of two…
• One of you is RNA polymerase.
Change the information from
DNA in the nucleus (my lab
bench) into mRNA. Remember
that DNA cannot leave the
nucleus.

• The other partner is the ribosome.
Stay at your table and read the
codons from the mRNA when it
arrives. Then find the compcomplementary antianti-codon on the papers
from around the room (tRNA).
• String the words (amino acids)
together to make sentences
(proteins).

• Write mRNA codons sequence on
paper (NOT the DNA sequence)
• Use mRNA codons to find tRNA
