After 3 years of existence, PROMOVA has achieved important
outcomes that have impacted in an extremely positive manner the
perception over Minas-Rio. Key to its success was the establishment of
a combined internal (in-company) and external governance. Relevant
governmental stakeholders and industry groups were involved in this
Program, such as FIEMG (Minas Gerais State Industry Federation),
SENAI (National Industrial Apprenticeship Service), SENAC (National
Commercial Apprenticeship Service), amongst others.
Recently, the Anglo American Group recognized PROMOVA as the
most advanced and mature Local Procurement (LP) initiative in the
organization.
