considered alive, it must
possess the 8 characteristics of
life:

• Growth
• Death
• Movement • Excretion
• Reproduction • Sensitivity
• Nutrition
• Respiration
Cells
• All living things are made of cells.
• The cell is the smallest living unit that
exists.
• There are two types of cells: plant cells
and animal cells.
• Plants cells have cell walls and
chloroplasts (animal cells do not).
