Build a plant cell or animal cell model and give a descriptive detail of each
organelle.

Choose a plant or animal cell and create a “day in their life” story. Write an
illustrated children’s book to explain your story. Make sure to include details that
would explain their function and organelles.

Make and record a cell rap or song about the cell and its organelles.

Design a board game in which players travel through either a plant or animal cell
traveling from organelle to organelle. Incorporate the function of the organelles
into your game.

You have been hired by an educational network to produce a video series. The
topic of your first episode is plant and animal cells in our daily lives. Create a
video of your first episode and share it with the class. Each organelle’s function
should be explained.

Create a travel brochure that attracts visitors to a plant or an animal cell. Think
of your cell as an amusement park or other travel destination. Make sure you
include the organelle function.

There are structures that are found only in plant cells. Investigate the
importance of these structures. Design a “plant cell person” who would represent
how the human body would be different if it had the structures that plant cells
contain. Build a model of your person using everyday objects with an
accompanying poster that points out his or her important features.

