Fever
Abdominal pain
Vomiting

Rash
Strawberry colored tongue
TREATMENT:
It is very important to give the antibiotic exactly as prescribed in order to prevent
some side-effects of the illness, and to decrease the likelihood of antibiotic
resistance in the future.
Antibiotic: _____________ Dose:__________ Every _______ Hours for ______
Days
For fever and/or pain, you can give your child:
 MOTRIN __________ EVERY 6 HOURS
OR
TYLENOL _________ EVERY 4 HOURS
Fluids or soft foods may be easier to swallow when your child has a sore throat. The
illness may last up to one week. 24 hours after your child has been treated, the
infection is no longer contagious, and your child may return to school if he or she
feels well.
