“The Most Dangerous Game” Game Board Rubric
A= Students highly engaged in groups; created clear and detailed game board using all of
the 10 focus literary terms and choices that the character(s) need to make; developed a
creative beginning and an end including obstacles in between; included die or cards to
make the game interesting; developed clear and precise rules and directions.
B= Students participated in groups; created adequate game board using 7-9 focus literary
terms and choices that the character(s) need to make; developed a beginning and an end
including obstacles in between, included die or cards; developed rules and directions.
C= Students participated minimally in groups; created an incomplete game board missing
most of the literacy terms and choices that the character(s) need to make; incomplete die
or cards; unclear and vague rules and directions.
F= Students did not participate in groups; did not complete project or failed to achieve
“C” requirements.
“D’s” will not be given for this project, if students fail to provide “C” quality work they
will receive a fail.
Focus Literary Terms: Plot, External Conflict, Internal Conflict, Setting,
Protagonist, Antagonist, Direct Characterization, Indirect Characterization, Theme,
and Climax.
You may add others if you like but the game needs to include all ten of the focus
literary terms to be eligible for an “A”.
