To be a part of creating a production that I am proud of would be both satisfying and fulfilling. I have involved myself in every opportunity available, both on stage and off, to gain more experience and learn new skills. It has allowed me to see first hand the day to day work that is required in this field, and it has ignited my passion to be a part of the process. Employment Production Assistant – Toronto Fringe Festival – Catalyst Dance Company, Bathurst Street Theatre, Canada Assisting the Stage Manager with prepping rehearsal space, procuring props and organising costumes. Taking notes and recording all technical cues and blocking. Moving props on and off during scene changes, prompting the dancers and cueing the technicians. Assisting quick costume changes and helping with the ‘get in’ to the theatre and the ‘get out’ Supporting Actress and Walk on – BBC Doctors, Landgirls and Hustle, UK Portraying many different characters on demand and following the direction of the crew. Director & Project manager – Coventry University Production, Pink Thunderbird, UK Blocking all scenes, running general rehearsals, securing rehearsal space and setting schedules. Responsible for casting decisions, costume, marketing and promotion. Head Costume Designer and Set Assistant – Coventry University Production, Moliere’s Tartuffe, UK – Designing elaborate couture costume for 12 cast members, Hair and make up, responsible for the costume budget and purchasing materials. Helping to paint the set and procuring props. Drama Teacher – Whitley Abbey Primary School - Created and lead drama workshops for students aged 10 to 12. Dance Teacher – Katrina Torrie’s School of Dance - teaching children aged between 5 and 16 on a weekly basis at my local dance school. Creating choreography for shows and competitions.
