Lesson 1: Objectives: Page to Stage, Tableaux.
Stimulus : Shakespeare’s Seven Ages of Man with colour/ audio








Following warm up, pupils will be introduced to
Shakespeare’s Seven Ages of Man.
Pupils to be given a copy each of the …….to follow as well
as the teacher’s reading of the whiteboard.
An explanation of difficult words should be given and
discussion invited about each of the stages.
Introduce the idea of the colours highlighting each stage? Do
they think each colour best represents each age?
eg… brown for youth??? Why or why not?
Time should be given and if available, coloured pens for
group discussion about which colour represents best each
‘age’.
Ask them to consider music? Which audio for which age?
Why?
Feedback.
To end, pupils should be introduced to TABLEAUX and
encouraged to produce their own for class discussion/
analysis.
Lesson covers Semiotics/ Self and Peer analysis/ Tableaux
