Alkyl Halide:It is the class or family of organic compounds which contain halide group-x is called alkyl halides. Its general formula CnH2 n + IX or R-X. Where “R” is called alkyl group-x is halide (Cl,Br,I). A- Nomenclature:1:-Common system: - In this system these compounds are named as .first writing the name of alkyl group to which x is attached, the then writing the name of halide ion.
