REQUIREMENTS
 CA (SA) qualification. Registered Auditor advantageous
 At least 5 years post article audit experience
 Adequate experience in performing Audit Quality Reviews (EQCR/Monitoring)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS





To perform ongoing internal quality control (QC) reviews of firm and engagement
inspections and to ensure consistency and high quality inspection files and reports. This
will include travelling to the inspectors at the audit firms where they are performing
inspections to discuss or clear review findings.
To occasionally perform scheduled inspections or follow-ups.
To keep up to date with the latest accounting and auditing standards and practical
implementation thereof.
To perform occasional ad hoc assignments as requested by the Director Inspections and
Quality Leader.
Sound administrative practices
SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES










Excellent knowledge of latest professional standards ISA, IAS, IFRS, Code of Ethics
Solid practical post qualification experience in auditing and quality reviews
Keen interest in auditing and the technical aspects of auditing (energetic and
enthusiastic)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Soft skills for negotiation and communicating issues on reviews of inspections in a
constructive manner
Ability to appropriately manage confrontational situations
Always remain objective and independent
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Analytical ability
Strong communication and report writing skills
The internal QC inspection review extends further than a normal quality control review of an
external audit in that it is specifically focused on the internal quality of an inspection.
WORK CONDITIONS
The job will be office based but also include regular travelling to the inspection teams as
required.
