Students are to choose and research a country of Africa. They then will create and present a power
point presentation/oral report of their country. (minimum of 10 slides)
Areas to focus on are:
1. physical geography,
2. government,
3. industry ,
4. agriculture,
5. trade,
6. resources,
7. religions,
8. people
9. language,
10. Traditions, ceremonies & customs,
11. entertainment,
12. history,
13. problems
14. Bibliography
In addition to the presentation, students will complete a one page handout of information to hand out
before their presentation. The Handout will contain key facts for each country and a map of the
country. The map should contain major landforms, cities, rivers, lakes, etc. It should show the
relationship to surrounding countries and contain the 5 map parts.
Students will be graded according to the following criteria:
