4000-2000: Yellow River (Hwang-Ho) Civilization- small farms & villages,
basics tools & weapons
2000-1500: Hsia dynasty- silk production, bronze medal, 1st alphabettraditional, not historically, verified
1500-1000: Shang dynasty- highly organized government, developed fine arts
& improved writing, worshiped ancestors
1000-256: Choa dynasty-written laws, metal coins, longest period of peace
created the “Golden Ages of China”
256-206: Chin dynasty- united China politically & physically by building roads
& bridges throughout China, simplified writing style
206 B.C.- 220 A.D: Han dynasty-highly centralized, overland trade with Rome
and Europe ,promoted philosophy of Confucianism largest empire

220-618: China is split into two competing kingdom Wei-in the north, Shu- in
the south… this division made China weaker & poorer
