Maths lesson plan Subject: Operations with numbers to 100 - written maths problems. 1.Greeting Students sit in the circle. The teacher greets children. The child which feels greeted waves her/his hand. - I say ‚hello’ to everyone who stood up with their right leg, - I say ‚hello’ to everyone who is in a good mood, - I say ‚hello’ to everyone who likes walking in the wood, - I say ‚hello’ to everyone who can sort the rubbish - - I say ‚hello’ to everyone who collects waste paper, etc. 2. Operations with numbers A student throws two dices to a child that sit next to. He/She does different operation with the given numbers, for example „6” and „3” (6+3=; 6-3=; 6:3=; 6x3=). Then children change roles and continue the game. 3. Solving written maths problems. Problem 1 Solve the problem, present the solution on the graph. Kasia and Adam collect waste paper. Kasia collected 29kg, and Adam 14kg more. Present the solution on the graph. How many kg did Adam collect? 29kg+14kg=43kg Answer: Adam collected 43 kg of waste paper. How many kg of waste paper did they collect together? 29kg+(29kg+14kg)= 29kg+43kg=72kg Odp.: Together they collected 72 kg of waste paper. Problem 2 Foresters plated tree seedlings in the nursery. There were 7 rows of oaks and in each row there were 4 oaks. There were 6 rows of pines and in one row there were 6 pine seedings and 9 rows of firs with 3 firs in the row. How many trees did they plant? Technique II 7x4=28 6x6=36 9x3=27 28+36+27=91 Technique II 7x4+6x6+9x3=28+36+27=91 Answer: Foresters planted 91 tree seedlings. Game: „Squirrels to the tree hollow” The teacher asks some students to stand in pairs halding their hands - they are tree hollows. The rest of the group moves around the class. When children hear „Squirrels to the tree hollow” they try to find a free hollow. Then the teacher makes the change of roles. Problem 3 There were oaks in the copse, 47 were transplanted to the forest and 53 left. How many oaks were in the copse at the beginning? Technique I 47+53=100 Technique II X- 47=53 X= 53+47 X= 100 spr. 100 –47=53 Present the solution on the graph. Answer: There were 100 oaks in the copse. Homework Solve the maths problem. Present the solution on the graph. Classes from 1 to 3 collect waste paper. The first classes collected 18 kg, the second classes collected 24 kg and the third 29kg. Haw many kg of waste paper did they collect. Present the solution on the graph. 18kg+24kg+29kg=42kg+29kg= 71kg Answer: All classes collected 71 kg of waste paper.
