DIRECT OBJECTS
A direct object (DO) is a noun or pronoun that receives the action in an active
sentence. The Direct object will usually come after the action verb in a sentence.

APPOSITIVES
An appositive is a word group that identifies or renames the noun or pronoun that it
closely follows.
It is usually set off by commas unless closely tied to the word it identifies or renames.
Example: My son Brandon is a teacher.
