Huntington Bank is a $64 billion asset regional bank holding company headquartered in
Columbus, Ohio. Its retail banking markets are the states of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania,
Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Its distribution channels include a banking network of
more than 800 branches and alternative distribution channels including internet and mobile
banking, telephone banking, and more than 1,400 ATMs. It provides full-service commercial,
small business, and consumer banking services that offer plenty of room for pursuing new
challenges and discovering your strengths.
Job Description
Our Enterprise Analytics team is growing, and we’re looking for outstanding analysts to join us
in several key functions. These functions work collaboratively with our internal partners to
develop innovative, data-driven growth strategies across the entire bank, including Consumer
Deposits, Small Business, Home Lending, Credit Card, Auto, and Commercial.
Opportunities exist across the following teams:






Analytics Insights: Use profiling, segmentation, and root cause analysis to uncover areas of
opportunity in our customer base.
Test Design: Structure marketing campaigns using experimental and factorial methods to
ensure that financial and testing goals are met.
Financial Analysis: Project campaign results using proforma P&L, marginal contribution,
profitability, and other business metrics.
Leads Management: Translate strategy into data through list production, quality, and audit.
Decision Engine Management: Create, deliver, monitor, and tune targeting rules across
multiple channels.
Campaign Analytics: Track marketing results and forecasts, present final results and make
recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
 Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, product, finance, operations, and technology to
identify opportunities and design appropriate solutions.




Manage multiple priorities to achieve the goals of the team.
Work from inception to completion across various aspects of the analytical process,
including data mining, modeling, campaign design, execution, and analysis.
Synthesize findings into senior level presentations that convey insights and
recommendations through compelling storytelling, while maintaining a balance between
the big picture and mastery of details.
Champion corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory
requirements. Apply effective risk management processes and controls.
Minimum Qualifications
 Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research,
Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative or social science field.
 2-5 years of related work experience in financial services, retail, healthcare,
telecommunications, entertainment, or other industries with strong direct marketing,
digital marketing, and experimental design practices.
 Advanced level experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Desirable Characteristics
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact
effectively across all organizational levels.
 Progressive thinker and problem solver, with a strong ability to manage
ambiguity/complexity.
 Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting
aggressive timelines.
 Experience working in a consumer-centric company with teams of technical professionals in
a cross-functional environment.
 Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage
resources to create exceptional outcomes. Consistently inspires high levels of professional
demeanor and integrity.
Preferred Technical Skills
 Strong experience with business intelligence and data mining tools such as BusinessObjects,
Microstrategy, Tableau, Qlickview, and SAS Enterprise Guide/Miner.
 Direct experience with SQL programming and large database applications such as Oracle,
DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, and Hadoop.
 Experience developing and applying statistical or machine learning methods in a corporate
environment through applications such as SAS, SPSS, and R.
 SAS certification (if not present at hiring, we will encourage obtaining Base certification and
potentially additional levels once on the job).
 Fluent in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ in a data mining context, and
experience building web-based applications using HTML, CSS, Perl, and JavaScript.
