Overview:
This internship opportunity is within our Customer Data Management (CDM) Department
in the Consumer Banking Group. CDM is a critical department in our organization, managing
the development and implementation of a multitude of analytical tools which enable our dayto-day decision making processes for a variety of banking products.
As a CDM intern, the student would complete several projects under the mentoring of a
number of analytics professionals within the department. The work experience will be tailored
to each student’s area of study, interests, and prospective degree (undergraduate/graduate).
The student could work with one or more of the groups within CDM, which include Statistical
Modeling, Marketing Analytics, Customer Analytics, and Reporting. Projects could include:
1. Data mining very large databases (tens of millions of records and hundreds of variables)
using SQL and SAS,
2. Providing data-driven insight to answer relevant business questions and presenting
those findings to business users and management,
3. Conducting statistical analysis using SAS or other software, such as building linear or
logistic regression models.
Our internship offer to students in quantitative science fields is a chance to gain valuable
experience working in a professional environment. The CDM internship program is for
undergraduate or graduate students expected to earn their degree in the next 12 months. A
typical internship would last 3-9 months.
Required:
 Graduate/Undergraduate Student in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Math,
or Finance
 Strong Academic Standing
 Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
Experience using SAS or SQL
