Medina de Chase. III. COURSE OBJECTIVE Students will learn basic communicative tools in Spanish to resolve typical problems related to their profession. Students will learn useful phrases within a medical context, as well as acquire vocabulary and grammatical knowledge via exercises, communicative activities and reading of real-life dialogues. At the end of course, the student will have acquired skills and will have reinforced learned structures via practice and role playing activities with his/her classmates. By the completion of this course the student will be able to greet and introduce him/herself, will be familiar with vocabulary relating to body parts, injuries, and basic commands, will be able to conduct consultations with patients, conduct basic examinations, obtain clinical information and will be able to inform the patient about prescribed medications and their potential side effects.
