LIZ STUART
Advanced Sports Therapist
Liz has recently joined Tudor Medical Group to support existing practitioners with her
Sports Massage and soft tissue skills. Liz has been practicing since 2002 and has a
wealth of experience assessing and treating the elderly, the sportsperson and the
general public.
Areas of expertise:

Relief of muscle spasm relating to acute sciatic symptoms and its ongoing
maintenance and prevention. Soft tissue manipulation has proved to be very
effective in the relief of immediate and chronic symptoms. Combined with
stretches and exercises to strengthen core muscles a complete rehabilitation
programme can minimise the risk of symptom recurrence.

Relief of chronic tension caused by poor posture or stress – often
associated with workstation positions and commonly affecting the neck.
Maintenance of muscle flexibility helps to ensure a manageable and
controllable level of movement and discomfort.

Relief of trapped nerves caused by muscle spasm / tension causing referred
pain into forearms and fingers – often symptomatic of office based workers
using computers / mouse or prolonged driving. Soft tissue release restores
muscle flexibility, movement and nerve mobility.

Relief of stiffness in the lumbar region and postural muscles of the back
allowing improved mobility and scapula movement.

Sports injuries – aiding rehabilitation, enhancing recovery from training /
competing and injury prevention.

General maintenance and preventative work to legs – specifically for diabetic
clients where massage to promote circulation and aid lymphatic drainage
show very positive results. Also general release of cumulative wear and tear
to the leg muscles – commonly the calves.
Deep tissue massage and the holistic benefits that sports therapy offers enables our
practice to provide a greater depth of care for our clients.
Please contact us if you have any questions or feedback on the outcomes of Sports
Massage treatment.
